How to Use Grocery Store Delivery with Success
How to use grocery store delivery London Ontario? Have you ever tried using grocery store delivery in London, Ontario? I can tell you about my recent grocery store experience. I live in London, a very busy city in southwestern Ontario, just east of Toronto. I live near the downtown core, so it is convenient for me to go and shop at all of the different retailers that are in the area. I have shopped at all of the major grocery stores in the area and I am always delighted when I make a stop at one of the smaller grocery stores on my way home from work in the evening.
One
of the smaller grocery stores that I shop at has a delivery service. It is
called Kitchen Door Foods and is owned by Canadian Food Express. The manager,
Jonny Andrews, greeted me as soon as I entered the store. He was very courteous
and gave me a tour of the store. When we talked, I learned that he usually makes
a stop at these types of stores after his delivery crew leaves at around 7pm.
When
we were talking, I learned that he usually makes two deliveries a week, one in
the afternoon and one at night. When we went to the checkout counter, I saw
that they delivered a whole case of organic groceries to our home. My mouth
just dropped open as I watched him load up a large cardboard box with organic
vegetables, fruit, meats, dairy products, condiments and other items. He also
had a large selection of organic household cleaners, soaps, shampoos and
conditioners. I was really amazed at how well he organized everything and made
it easy for me to use.
I
was eager to find out how the grocery store did their delivery. I had read
online that most grocery stores use a popular delivery service called DHL. I
was excited about trying out this option since I already use DHL on a regular
basis when I shop out of my home. I also wanted to find out if they delivered
to my area so I wouldn't have to go out of my way to get the items I needed.
My
excitement soon turned to anxiety as I realized that I would have to wait
several days for my DHL order to arrive. I freaked out a bit when I realized
that I would have to wait four to five days for the package to arrive. I called
the grocery store and asked if they had an alternative plan. The manager told
me they do have an alternative plan. I asked how they could possibly provide
this kind of service with such a small staff.
They
explained to me that they only order products from certain stores if they want
to offer them on their website. They don't want to have to deal with inventory
issues or make any deliveries unless there is a problem. The other downside of
using DHL is that you have to pay a little more than you might if you used another
company. I decided to try them out so I would know whether or not I would like
them. I live in New York City, so I thought I would try out one of their
suburban grocery stores. I was pretty excited about going to the store and
trying all of the new things I saw.
I
took my bag and went to the counter. The clerk wasn't very helpful at first but
she was able to take down all of my information and then I was ready to order.
Once the delivery service London Ontario guy
came, I was a bit nervous because he was really pushy about the order and
didn't allow me to check items before they were placed on the truck. I didn't
like the fact that he was so pushy but it was understandable.
Once
the truck got to my house, I opened the door and the delivery person
immediately started unloading my groceries. I tried to watch him as he was
loading but he just wouldn't look where he was going and kept asking for more.
He finally looked back and told me that I had several items left and he would
be right back with more. I was excited, but I knew that it wasn't going to be
the best experience ever.
